In January, Facebook users shared Windsor’s video and created a few small groups to support the convoy. One of those, “Freedom Convoy 2022,” connected with the original organizers and was a major initial supporter of their GoFundMe page.
The page also featured a livestream from Pat King and promoted a large number of other right-wing Canadian pages and videos. These were early days for the convoy, but it would soon spread internationally and gain support from far-right groups in Europe.
